Chargers wideout D.J. Chark had his activation window opened coming off injured reserve on Wednesday.

With the Chargers playing on Monday night, the team just dropped their first injury report of the week a day later than usual. In all, it’s a larger injury report but that was to be expected after it seemed like a number of players were banged up from their win over the Broncos.

Five players were listed as non-participants. They were pass rusher Joey Bosa (hip), cornerback Kristian Fulton (hamstring), tight end Hayden Hurst (groin), wide receiver Quentin Johnston (ankle), and cornerback Deane Leonard (hamstring).

Seven other players were listed as limited participants during Thursday’s session. They were wide receiver D.J. Chark (groin), tight end Will Dissly (shoulder), wide receiver Simi Fehoko (shoulder/groin), offensive guard Zion Johnson (ankle), wide reciever Ladd McConkey (hip), offensive guard Trey Pipkins (shoulder), and cornerback Ja’Sir Taylor (fibula).

Chark is returning from injured reserve and just had his activation window opened on Wednesday. His return is timing up well seeing as Johnston may miss this week with an ankle injury he sustained on Sunday.

Seeing Taylor log a limited practice is good news for the Chargers secondary that has been ravaged by injuries against Denver. He also bring reinforcements for special teams coverage, as well.
